Evara Therapeutics was a stealth-stage biotechnology company focused on developing next-generation non-viral delivery systems for genetic medicines. Founded and incubated by 5AM Ventures, the company specialized in engineered virus-like particles (eVLPs) designed to overcome the limitations of traditional viral vectors, such as immunogenicity and cargo capacity. In 2024, Evara Therapeutics merged with another stealth entity to form Nvelop Therapeutics, a well-funded platform company backed by top-tier investors including Atlas Venture and F-Prime Capital. The combined entity continues to advance the modular eVLP platform to enable the in vivo delivery of diverse therapeutic cargoes, including gene editors and base editors, across multiple therapeutic areas.
