Company intelligence / Profile preview
EverCord is a cord blood and cord tissue banking service launched by Natera, a global leader in cell-free DNA testing and genetic diagnostics. The service allows expectant parents to collect and cryopreserve their newborn's umbilical cord blood and tissue, which are rich in hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells. These stored cells can potentially be used in the future to treat over 80 different diseases, including certain cancers, blood disorders, and immune system deficiencies. EverCord leverages Natera's extensive clinical laboratory infrastructure and genetic testing expertise to provide a seamless experience for families. The processing and long-term storage are conducted in partnership with Bloodworks Northwest, an AABB-accredited and FDA-registered facility. By integrating cord banking with prenatal screening, EverCord offers a comprehensive approach to family health and future therapeutic options.
