Company intelligence / Profile preview
Everest Metal was a specialized medical device contract manufacturing firm that provided finishing services for orthopedic implants, including knee and hip joints. The company operated through two primary entities: Everest Metal International, based in Midleton, Ireland, and Everest Metal Finishing, based in the United States. It served as a key supplier to major orthopedic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Stryker and Johnson & Johnson. In August 2006, Everest Metal was acquired by Symmetry Medical Inc. for approximately $8.8 million to strengthen Symmetry's orthopedic finishing capabilities and expand its global manufacturing footprint. Following the acquisition, its operations were integrated into Symmetry Medical's global network, which was later acquired by Tecomet in 2014.
