Everest Metal Finishing was a specialized contract manufacturing company focused on the finishing of orthopedic implants, such as knee and hip joints. Based in Monsey, New York, with an international affiliate in Midleton, Ireland, the company provided critical surface finishing services to major medical device manufacturers like Stryker and Johnson & Johnson. In 2006, Everest Metal Finishing and its sister company, Everest Metal International, were acquired by Symmetry Medical for approximately $8.8 million. The acquisition was part of Symmetry Medical's strategy to expand its implant finishing capabilities and strengthen its position as a total solutions provider for the orthopedic industry. Following the acquisition, the company's operations were integrated into Symmetry Medical, which was later acquired by Tecomet in 2014.
