Company intelligence / Profile preview
Senseonics is a medical technology company focused on the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of long-term, implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems for people with diabetes. The company's flagship product line, Eversense (including Eversense E3 and Eversense 365), features a tiny, fully implantable fluorescence-based sensor that is subcutaneously inserted in the upper arm by a healthcare provider. Unlike traditional short-term CGMs that last 10 to 15 days, Eversense systems provide continuous, highly accurate glucose readings for up to six months (Eversense E3) or a full year (Eversense 365). The system communicates wirelessly with a removable, rechargeable smart transmitter worn on the skin, which sends real-time data and predictive alerts to a mobile application. Senseonics has recently transitioned to managing its own commercial operations and sales force, expanding its market presence in both the United States and Europe.
