Evexar Medical

Evexar Medical was a medical device company focused on developing minimally invasive surgical technologies for colorectal health. Spun out from University College London (UCL), the company's flagship product was the HALO (Hemorrhoidal Artery Ligation Operation) device, which uses Doppler ultrasound to identify and ligate hemorrhoidal arteries. This technology provided a less painful alternative to traditional hemorrhoidectomy and significantly reduced patient recovery times. In September 2010, the company was acquired by Cook Medical, a global leader in minimally invasive medical devices, to expand its surgical product portfolio. The HALO technology has since been integrated into Cook Medical's global surgery business unit.
