Evolution Securities was a prominent UK-based investment bank and stockbroker that specialized in corporate finance, institutional equities, and research for mid-cap companies. While not a biotechnology company itself, it was a major player in the life sciences sector as a financial advisor and underwriter, helping numerous European biotech and healthcare firms raise capital and navigate public markets. The firm was particularly well-regarded for its specialist healthcare research team and its role in London-based IPOs. In late 2011, Evolution Securities was acquired by the international specialist bank Investec to strengthen its investment banking and securities operations.
