Evvy has launched the first CLIA/CAP-certified at-home metagenomic sequencing test for the vaginal microbiome. Their AI-powered digital healthcare platform provides comprehensive analysis of over 700 microbes from a single swab, integrates STI screening as an add-on panel, delivers clinician-reviewed results with personalized treatment plans—including prescription options—and offers ongoing tracking/coaching. Clinical validation studies have shown improved outcomes in the vaginal microbiome using their integrative approach.

The company has generated one of the world’s largest datasets on the human vaginal microbiome and aims to leverage this data to discover novel biomarkers relevant to fertility, pregnancy outcomes, STIs prevention/treatment efficacy, and broader women’s health conditions.

Over 50k patients and more than a thousand providers have used their service since launch in July 2021.

Recent funding will expand R&D into molecular signatures for new diagnostics targeting female-specific conditions.
