Excelsyn Engineering Technology

Excelsyn Engineering Technology was a UK-based engineering and technical services firm specializing in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Operating as a subsidiary of Excelsyn Ltd, the company provided process engineering, project management, and facility design services, particularly for chemical development and manufacturing sites. Based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, it supported the parent company's CDMO operations by designing and optimizing kilo labs, pilot plants, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. Following the acquisition of the Excelsyn group by Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI) in 2010, the engineering unit was renamed and eventually dissolved in 2011. The parent company's operations were later integrated into AMRI, which rebranded as Curia in 2021.
