Company intelligence / Profile preview
Exempla Healthcare was a prominent non-profit healthcare provider system based in the Denver metropolitan area of Colorado. Established in 1998, it was formed through a joint venture between the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCL Health) and the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County. The network operated major facilities including Saint Joseph Hospital, Lutheran Medical Center, and Good Samaritan Medical Center, offering comprehensive medical services ranging from primary care to advanced surgical procedures. In 2014, SCL Health assumed full ownership of the system, leading to the eventual retirement of the Exempla brand. Following a 2022 merger, the former Exempla facilities are now part of Intermountain Health, one of the largest non-profit health systems in the United States.
