Company intelligence / Profile preview
Exmet was a Swedish advanced materials and additive manufacturing company focused on designing and producing components made from amorphous metals, also known as bulk metallic glasses or glassy alloys. Its platform combined proprietary process technology, metal powder supply, and application development services to enable production of corrosion-resistant, high-strength, low-loss amorphous metal parts. The company served industrial markets such as aerospace, automotive, energy, defense, and medical device applications rather than operating as a drug developer or healthcare services company. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Stockholm/Kista, Exmet was acquired by Heraeus Group in August 2022. Following the acquisition, the business appears to have been integrated into Heraeus AMLOY, and third-party databases subsequently listed Exmet as acquired or out of business.
