Founded in 1992, the company gained significant recognition for introducing creatine monohydrate to the mainstream market and developing the Myoplex line of meal replacement products. EAS focused on science-based formulations to support muscle growth, athletic performance, and body composition, often validating products through university-led clinical studies. In 2004, the company was acquired by Abbott Laboratories, where it operated as a leading brand in the performance nutrition segment. Abbott officially discontinued the EAS brand in 2018 to shift focus toward its core healthcare and medical nutrition portfolios.
