Company intelligence / Profile preview
Experimental and Applied Sciences, widely known as EAS, was a pioneer in the sports nutrition and dietary supplement industry. Founded in 1992, the company gained significant recognition for introducing creatine monohydrate to the mainstream market and developing the Myoplex line of meal replacement products. EAS focused on science-based formulations to support muscle growth, athletic performance, and body composition, often validating products through university-led clinical studies. In 2004, the company was acquired by Abbott Laboratories, where it operated as a leading brand in the performance nutrition segment. Abbott officially discontinued the EAS brand in 2018 to shift focus toward its core healthcare and medical nutrition portfolios.
