Overview
Exxel Pharma’s lead program, EX937, is a first-in-class oral small molecule FAAH inhibitor designed to treat refractory chronic cough by increasing anandamide levels and reducing neuronal hypersensitivity. Preclinical data show efficacy in models of cough, neuropathic pain, migraine, and hyperactive bladder with a favorable safety profile and peripheral action that avoids CNS side effects. The company is preparing for its first-in-human Phase 1/1b study in late 2025.
