Eykona Technologies is a medical technology company specializing in 3D imaging and wound measurement solutions. The company developed the Eykona Wound Measurement System, a handheld device that uses 3D photography to accurately measure and track the progression of wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores. By providing objective data on wound volume, area, and tissue composition, the technology assists clinicians in making more informed treatment decisions. Eykona was a spin-out from the University of Oxford and the University of the West of England. In 2014, the company was acquired by Smith & Nephew to bolster their advanced wound management portfolio.
