Company intelligence / Profile preview
F2G is developing olorofim, the first in a new class of antifungals called orotomides. Olorofim targets dihydroorotate dehydrogenase to disrupt pyrimidine synthesis in fungi. The drug has completed a Phase 2b study for rare and resistant invasive fungal infections and is currently in late-stage development with an ongoing Phase 3 trial comparing it to AmBisome. Olorofim has orphan drug status for invasive aspergillosis and scedosporiosis. The company is preparing for regulatory resubmission after the FDA requested additional data; no new clinical data are required, but updated historical control data are being compiled[4][6].
