Family Doctor Association

The Family Doctor Association (FDA) was a UK-based professional membership organization and registered charity dedicated to supporting general practitioners (GPs) and promoting the core values of family medicine. Established in 1985, the association advocated for the importance of continuity of care and the personal relationship between doctors and patients within the National Health Service (NHS) framework. It provided educational resources, networking opportunities, and quality accreditation through its Quality Practice Award (QPA). The organization played a significant role in primary care advocacy for over three decades before being formally dissolved as a legal entity in 2019.
