Fannin

Fannin is an active Houston-based venture creation studio focused on developing and commercializing early-stage pharmaceutical and medical device assets addressing vital unmet needs. It operates both by advancing internal projects and spinning out new entities with external management teams. Since its founding in 2014, it has developed over a dozen active programs/platforms—three of which are currently in the clinic—and raised more than $260 million via grants and investors. Its model emphasizes hands-on management, talent development through internships/fellowships, close collaboration with academic inventors primarily at Texas Medical Center institutions but also nationally, and capital-efficient de-risking of technologies up to key value inflection points such as IND or early clinical data.
