Fascia Closure Systems, LLC was a medical device company based in Santa Ana, California, that developed the 4Closure Surgical Fascia Closure System. The 4Closure system is a specialized device and operating method designed to close punctures in the fascia following laparoscopic procedures, particularly those using large-diameter ports. By ensuring secure and consistent closure of the abdominal or chest wall, the technology aims to prevent post-operative complications such as incisional hernias. In April 2007, the company was acquired by Synovis Life Technologies, which was subsequently acquired by Baxter International in 2012. The 4Closure system was a Class I medical device authorized for sale in the United States at the time of the acquisition.
