Company intelligence / Profile preview
Fast Track Diagnostics was a Luxembourg-based molecular diagnostics company focused on the design, development, and manufacture of real-time PCR and multiplex PCR kits for infectious disease detection. The company built a broad menu of CE-marked syndromic panels and single-target assays spanning respiratory, gastrointestinal, sexually transmitted, meningitis, hepatitis, tropical, ophthalmic, pediatric, and immunosuppression-related infections. Its products were platform-agnostic and used in clinical laboratories to differentiate viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic pathogens from a single workflow. Siemens Healthineers acquired the company in December 2017 and continued to market the portfolio under the Fast Track Diagnostics brand for several years. In March 2024, Siemens Healthineers announced its intention to close the Fast Track Diagnostics unit by September 2024 following a decline in demand after the COVID-19 testing peak.
