Federfarma

Federfarma is the national federation representing over 18,000 private pharmacy owners in Italy. Established in 1969, the organization acts as the primary interlocutor with national and regional health authorities regarding pharmaceutical policy and the National Health Service (SSN). It provides legal, technical, and administrative support to its members while promoting the role of the pharmacy as a primary healthcare hub. Federfarma also manages data collection on drug consumption and pharmaceutical spending in Italy through its various service arms. The federation plays a critical role in negotiating the national collective agreement for pharmacy employees and coordinating public health campaigns across the Italian territory.
