Felix Biotechnology

Felix Biotechnology developed a proprietary digital viral design platform leveraging machine learning and synthetic biology to engineer bacteriophages targeting multidrug-resistant bacteria. Their lead asset was used under compassionate use INDs to treat cystic fibrosis patients with MDR Pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infections with positive safety and efficacy signals. The company also advanced preclinical programs against other high-priority pathogens including MRSA, Burkholderia, Acinetobacter, as well as discovery efforts for fungal pathogens. They received funding from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ($1M) and an NIH SBIR grant ($314K), but are currently inactive as of the latest available data.
