DeliNova Therapeutics (also known as Fengxun Biotechnology) is an innovative Chinese biotechnology company specializing in the development of next-generation in vivo CAR-T cell therapies. Founded in May 2025 by Dr. Kaikai Shi and Professor Yujia Cai from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the company leverages a proprietary, generative AI-driven platform combined with engineered lentiviral vectors to perform T-cell-specific genetic modification directly inside the patient's body. This in situ approach aims to bypass the complex, costly, and time-consuming ex vivo manufacturing processes of traditional CAR-T therapies, transforming them into affordable, off-the-shelf treatments. DeliNova's lead candidate, GI-001, is a CD19-targeting in vivo CAR-T therapy preparing for investigator-initiated trials (IIT) in hematological malignancies, while its GI-002 program targets solid tumors such as lung cancer.
