Firefly Bio is pioneering a new class of cancer therapeutics called degrader antibody conjugates (DACs), which combine the cell-targeting ability of antibody-drug conjugates with the catalytic intracellular activity of protein degraders. The company’s proprietary platform aims to overcome limitations seen in both traditional ADCs and standalone protein degraders by enabling targeted degradation of disease-driving proteins within tumor cells. As of early/mid 2025, their lead program is preclinical with proof-of-concept data established but not yet published or detailed publicly. The company has raised $94 million in Series A funding from top-tier biotech investors including Versant Ventures, MPM BioImpact, Decheng Capital, and Eli Lilly & Company.
