First American Homecare

First American Homecare was a prominent national provider of home health care services in the United States during the 1980s and 1990s. Founded by Robert "Bob" Cass and headquartered in Brunswick, Georgia, the company grew to become the largest privately held home health agency in the country. It offered a comprehensive suite of services, including skilled nursing, physical and occupational therapy, and specialized home infusion treatments. In 1996, the company was acquired by Integrated Health Services (IHS), a leading post-acute care provider, for approximately $295 million. Following the acquisition, it operated as a subsidiary of IHS until the parent company's financial restructuring and bankruptcy in the early 2000s.
