Fisher Biosciences was a prominent life sciences division of Fisher Scientific International, specializing in the development and manufacture of reagents, consumables, and equipment for biological research. The company was formed through the strategic consolidation of industry-leading brands such as Dharmacon, HyClone, Pierce Biotechnology, and Abgene. Its product portfolio was essential for researchers working in genomics, proteomics, and cell culture, providing tools for RNA interference, protein purification, and specialized media. In 2006, Fisher Scientific merged with Thermo Electron to form Thermo Fisher Scientific, at which point Fisher Biosciences was integrated into the new organization's Analytical Technologies and Laboratory Products segments.
