Flexus

Flexus Biosciences was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of small molecule cancer immunotherapies. The company's primary research centered on the IDO/TDO pathway, which tumors use to suppress the immune system. Its lead program, F001287 (later BMS-986205), was a potent and selective IDO1 inhibitor designed to restore the immune system's ability to recognize and kill cancer cells. In 2015, the company was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb for $1.25 billion to bolster their immuno-oncology portfolio. Following the acquisition, the management team spun out the non-acquired assets into a new entity, Arcus Biosciences.
