The Florida League of Hospitals was a prominent trade association representing for-profit hospitals and healthcare systems across the state of Florida. Active primarily during the 1980s and 1990s, the organization served as a legislative advocate and lobbying body, focusing on issues such as hospital deregulation, indigent care funding, and healthcare market competition. It represented major for-profit entities like Columbia/HCA and Tenet Healthcare, often providing a counterpoint to the Florida Hospital Association, which represented both non-profit and for-profit institutions. In late 1996, the organization rebranded as the Florida League of Health Systems, Inc., before eventually becoming inactive.
