The company traces its roots to Harry Wolf's x-ray products business founded in 1931, later splitting into a dental-focused Flow X-Ray business in the 1970s and rebranding as Flow Dental under third-generation family ownership. Its portfolio includes accessories for sensor, phosphor plate, film, and CBCT workflows, as well as radiation protection products, sleeves, positioning systems, and darkroom items. The company manufactures and markets products used in routine dental radiography and practice imaging operations, rather than developing therapeutics or a drug pipeline. Flow Dental relocated manufacturing to North Carolina in 2021 to expand capacity and flexibility.
