Fluorinex

Fluorinex Ltd. was an innovative medical technology company based in Israel that developed a proprietary system for advanced dental care and caries prevention. The company's flagship product, the Fluorinex System, utilized an electrochemical process known as electrophoresis to significantly enhance the uptake of fluoride into tooth enamel. By replacing hydroxyl ions with fluoride ions in a matter of minutes, the system converted hydroxyapatite into more acid-resistant fluorapatite, providing superior protection against cavities compared to traditional topical treatments. The technology was also applied to the treatment of dentin hypersensitivity, offering a rapid and long-lasting solution for patients by effectively sealing exposed tubules. Although the company achieved regulatory clearances and initiated commercialization in several global markets, it eventually ceased operations and is currently considered inactive.
