TRIA aortic valve
Phase 1- Indications
- Aortic valve disease
Company intelligence / Profile preview
Foldax has developed the world’s first synthetic polymer aortic and mitral heart valves using its proprietary LifePolymer™ material. The TRIA™ valves are designed to address durability and thrombogenicity issues of current tissue or mechanical valves. First-in-human use was successfully completed under an FDA Early Feasibility Study for the aortic position. Animal studies show no thrombosis or calcification on leaflet surfaces. The company aims to provide long-lasting, non-thrombogenic valves that do not require lifelong anticoagulation therapy.
