FONA International

FONA International is a flavor manufacturer focused on clean and natural flavor solutions for food, beverage, and nutritional products. The company was founded in 1987 and built its business around flavor creation, applications support, and customer engagement from a large campus in Geneva, Illinois. FONA serves customers across food, beverage, and nutrition markets, including healthcare- and nutraceutical-adjacent applications, but it is not a therapeutic biotech or pharmaceutical developer. In December 2020, McCormick acquired FONA for $710 million and indicated it would retain the FONA brand as part of its flavor platform in the Americas. Today, FONA appears to operate as part of McCormick’s flavor solutions business.
