Fondazione Cellule Staminali is an Italian research organization focused on developing innovative cell therapies for neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumors. The foundation specializes in the isolation and clinical-grade production of human neural stem cells (hNSCs) to address high-unmet-need conditions such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and glioblastoma. It operates a state-of-the-art GMP-certified facility in Terni, Italy, enabling the translation of basic research into clinical applications. The foundation has successfully advanced its lead program for ALS through Phase I and Phase II clinical trials, demonstrating a commitment to rigorous scientific and clinical standards. Led by Professor Angelo Vescovi, the organization collaborates with various academic and clinical institutions to expand the therapeutic potential of stem cell technology.
