Fondazione San Raffaele Monte Tabor was the founding entity of the San Raffaele Hospital (Ospedale San Raffaele) in Milan, Italy, a premier research hospital and a global leader in gene and cell therapy. Following a significant financial restructuring in 2012, the hospital's operations and research activities were acquired by the Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato. The institution is most famous for its San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget), which developed Strimvelis, the world's first ex-vivo stem cell gene therapy to receive regulatory approval.
