Foresight Technology VCT (formerly known as Foresight Solar & Technology VCT) is a UK-based venture capital trust that invests in early-stage companies developing disruptive technologies with high growth potential, particularly in sectors like renewable energy (solar), infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, electronics/control systems, mobility/automotive tech, aerospace/aerodynamics, materials science, sport science/training environments and healthcare/medical devices/services—but it is not primarily a life sciences or biotech investor. The fund aims to provide long-term tax-free returns through dividend yield and capital growth by investing mainly in unquoted UK companies generating electricity from solar power systems or benefiting from government price guarantees for renewables projects.
