Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa

Global Partners in Care, formerly known as the Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa (FHSSA), is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to hospice and palliative care in resource-limited settings. The organization facilitates international partnerships between U.S.-based hospice providers and palliative care organizations in developing countries, with a primary historical focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. These collaborations provide essential funding, clinical training, and technical assistance to improve end-of-life care for patients facing life-limiting illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and cancer. By fostering resource-sharing and education, the foundation helps build sustainable palliative care infrastructure globally. It operates as an affiliate of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).
