Foundery Biosciences is a San Francisco-based biotechnology venture studio focused on translating academic immunology discoveries into transformative therapies. Founded in 2021 by former Pionyr Immunotherapeutics executives and UCSF scientists, the company utilizes its proprietary Immune Archetype Platform, which leverages AI and deep immune phenotyping to identify novel drug targets. Foundery operates a state-of-the-art laboratory to validate early-stage concepts and develop IND-enabling packages for spin-out or licensing. In early 2025, the company expanded its clinical pipeline by acquiring three myeloid-targeting monoclonal antibody programs (PY314, PY159, and PY265) from Ikena Oncology. These programs target TREM2, TREM1, and MARCO to treat cancer, fibrosis, and autoimmune diseases.
