Company intelligence / Profile preview
Fox-Pitt Kelton (FPK) was a leading specialist investment bank primarily focused on the financial services sector, including insurance, banking, and asset management. Founded in 1971, the firm was widely regarded for its deep expertise in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and its influential equity research. Following a management buyout in 2006, the firm expanded its reach, including specialized advisory services in sectors such as healthcare and life sciences. However, the company remained fundamentally a financial services provider rather than a biotechnology or pharmaceutical developer. In 2009, FPK was acquired by Macquarie Group, which integrated the firm's specialist knowledge into its own global investment banking platform.
