Freedom Institute

Freedom Institute is a New York-based nonprofit behavioral health provider focused on outpatient treatment and recovery services for substance use disorders and related mental health conditions. Founded in 1976, the organization built its reputation around intensive outpatient programming, family-centered care, and the integration of Dialectical Behavior Therapy with Relational Family Therapy. Its services include assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, family therapy, telehealth, drug testing, relapse prevention, and support for clients with co-occurring psychiatric needs. Freedom Institute was acquired by Silver Hill Hospital and now operates as Silver Hill New York while continuing to serve patients in New York City.
