Frinj Coffee is a California-based agricultural technology and specialty coffee company that is pioneering the coffee-growing industry in the United States. Founded by Jay Ruskey, the company utilizes science-forward approaches, including genomic research and tissue culture propagation, to adapt high-quality Arabica coffee varieties to the California climate. Frinj provides a vertically integrated "seed-to-cup" solution, offering farmers plant material, agronomic support, and a post-harvest processing and marketing platform. The company gained significant attention for sequencing the Arabica coffee genome in collaboration with UC Davis and establishing a network of dozens of partner farms across Southern and Central California.
