Frontier Inflammasome Therapeutics is an emerging Australian biotechnology company focused on developing first-in-class small molecule inhibitors targeting inflammatory pathways. Spun out of the University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB) in collaboration with UniQuest's drug discovery incubator, the Queensland Emory Drug Discovery Initiative (QEDDI), the company leverages world-class research in inflammasome biology. Its therapeutic pipeline is primarily directed at treating debilitating inflammatory conditions of the lungs and skin, as well as severe inflammation resulting from viral respiratory infections. Backed by non-dilutive funding from the Australian Government's Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) via the CUREator and CUREator+ programs, the company is actively advancing its preclinical candidates toward clinical readiness.
