FTF Pharma is an India-based contract research organization (CRO) and contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in formulation development, analytical research, and intellectual property strategy. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, the company focuses on developing generic, super generic, and 505(b)(2) value-added products, particularly oral liquids, solids, topicals, and sterile formulations. FTF Pharma operates on a model of developing molecules to a certain stage, patenting them, and then out-licensing them to global pharmaceutical partners for commercialization. In June 2020, the company was acquired by Shilpa Medicare to enhance its formulation R&D capabilities and expand its product portfolio.
