Fundação do abc

Fundação do ABC (FUABC) is a prominent Brazilian non-profit social organization dedicated to healthcare management and medical education. Founded in 1967 by the municipalities of Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, and São Caetano do Sul, it serves as the maintainer of the Centro Universitário Faculdade de Medicina do ABC (FMABC). The organization manages a vast network of public health units, including hospitals, specialty clinics, and emergency care centers (UPAs) across several Brazilian states. FUABC plays a critical role in the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) by providing administrative expertise and clinical services. Its activities integrate healthcare delivery with academic research and professional training in the life sciences.
