Fundación Infant

Fundación Infant is an Argentine non-profit organization dedicated to translational research in pediatric respiratory diseases. Founded in 2003 by Dr. Fernando Polack, the foundation focuses on identifying the causes of respiratory infections such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), influenza, and COVID-19 to develop prevention and treatment strategies. It operates through a network of public and private hospitals, conducting large-scale clinical trials and epidemiological studies. The foundation is globally recognized for its pivotal role in testing maternal RSV vaccines and investigating convalescent plasma for elderly COVID-19 patients. Its work bridges the gap between basic science and clinical application to improve child health in developing countries.
