Fusion Biotechnology

Fusion Biotechnology is a South Korean biotechnology company focused on developing novel chemical and biological therapeutics for degenerative and intractable diseases, with a strong emphasis on age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and oncology. Spun out of the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), the company leverages a proprietary protein-substrate docking platform and advanced nanotechnology to design targeted, self-assembling therapeutics. Its pipeline features innovative senolytic candidates, such as N201-gal and p-Mito-1, which selectively eliminate senescent retinal pigment epithelium cells to restore visual function. Additionally, Fusion Biotechnology is advancing small-molecule YAP activators and MDM2 inhibitors for retinal disorders, alongside recombinant protein-drug conjugates for cancer treatment.
