Galenband

Galenband has developed the first wearable telemetry system capable of continuously monitoring cardiac function over a multi-month period (up to 90 days) without recharging or pairing with smart devices. The device transmits diagnostic-quality ECG data directly to clinicians via a cloud-based analytics portal, enabling timely detection of cardiac events such as atrial fibrillation and supporting stroke prevention efforts. It is positioned as an accessible alternative to adhesive-based ECG patches and surgically implanted monitors. The company was selected as a semi-finalist in the EIT Health Catapult 2024–25 competition, highlighting its innovation within European healthcare start-ups.
