GALVmed is a non-profit Product Development Partnership (PDP) dedicated to making livestock vaccines, medicines, and diagnostics accessible to small-scale farmers in Africa and South Asia. The organization bridges the gap between scientific research and commercial delivery by partnering with pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, and international donors. Their focus is on high-impact diseases that threaten the livelihoods and food security of poor livestock keepers. By facilitating the development and registration of veterinary products, GALVmed aims to improve animal health, increase farmer productivity, and alleviate poverty. They operate as a global alliance, funded primarily by major philanthropic and governmental organizations.
