Company intelligence / Profile preview
GBM-V (Gewebebank Mecklenburg-Vorpommern gGmbH) is a specialized tissue bank based in Rostock, Germany, operating as a joint venture between Tissue Regenix Group plc and the German non-profit GTM-V. Founded in 2016, the company focuses on the processing and distribution of human tissue allografts, primarily for ophthalmology, and is recognized as one of the largest corneal banks in Germany. GBM-V leverages the proprietary dCELL decellularization technology to produce acellular scaffolds that reduce immunogenicity and support regenerative healing in patients. While the company has historically contributed to the European presence of its parent group, Tissue Regenix announced in early 2025 that GBM-V is no longer considered a strategic asset and is currently held for sale.
