Company intelligence / Profile preview
GC China is the China-based biologics and plasma-products subsidiary historically associated with South Korea's GC group (formerly Green Cross/GC Biopharma). The company has operated blood-plasma-derived product manufacturing in Anhui, China, and has also distributed pharmaceuticals in China through GC China Pharm. Its known commercial focus has included plasma-derived products such as human albumin, immunoglobulin, fibrinogen, and China commercialization of selected GC products including recombinant hemophilia therapy. In July 2024, GC agreed to sell its Hong Kong holding structure and six China entities including GC China to CR Boya Bio-pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of China Resources Pharmaceutical Group, while also entering distribution and strategic cooperation agreements in China. As a result, GC China appears to be an operating commercial plasma-products business in China, but now under new ownership rather than as an independent drug-discovery biotech.
