Gene Logic

Gene Logic was a pioneering genomics and bioinformatics company founded in the mid-'90s that evolved into a leader in drug repositioning. It developed proprietary gene expression databases, proteomics technologies, and sophisticated bioinformatics tools to support pharmaceutical R&D. The company's main business model shifted toward partnering with major pharma companies to find new uses for discontinued or deprioritized clinical-stage compounds using its Drug Repositioning Program. At its peak, it had hundreds of employees worldwide and partnerships with top-tier pharma companies such as Pfizer, Roche, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Merck Serono, Organon, among others. The company was publicly traded under the symbol GLGC but has since been acquired/merged out of existence as an independent entity.
