Genera Biosystems was an Australian molecular diagnostics company that specialized in the development of multiplexed assays for infectious diseases. The company's core technology, AmpaSand, utilized silica beads and flow cytometry to enable the simultaneous detection of multiple genetic targets in a single test tube. Its lead commercial product, PapType, was a diagnostic test for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) capable of identifying 14 high-risk and 2 low-risk genotypes.
